About the Clinton Police Department

The Clinton Police Department is a 24-hour full service agency committed to making
Clinton a business or pleasure. We take great pride in maintaining an atmosphere in
which our citizens and visitors can enjoy themselves in the charming environment that is
Clinton. We strongly believe that visibility, mobility and personal interaction with the
public in a positive way by members of the department contribute significantly to our
quality of life in Clinton. We also believe that we must be a deterrent to those who are

The Clinton Police Department is a Proud Educator of the D.A.R.E Program-

Since the late 1980s the Town of Clinton Police Department in conjunction with the
Clinton Public School has presented a drug abuse education program to our fifth grade
students. This approved 10-week curriculum known as D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance
Education) is taught throughout schools nationally. The primary emphasis of the program
is to assist students in recognizing and resisting pressures that influence them to
experiment with drugs.

Our D.A.R.E. instructors have completed a mandated certification process with instruction
from the NJ State Police Education Training Unit. D.A.R.E. Instructors present the
curriculum during the school days Health block.

For information on our D.A.R.E. program please contact Officers Tim McGuire or Jim Crilly
at (908)735-8611 or via email tmcguire@clintonnj.gov.
